These Terms of Use apply to your use of StayProof.
By downloading, accessing, or using StayProof, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
StayProof is designed as a practical, local-first tool for creating property inspection reports. These Terms are written to explain what you can expect from the app and what responsibilities remain with you as the user.
1. Who provides StayProof
StayProof is developed and published by LMNTS Apps. LMNTS Apps is operated by Parklane Property Management Ltd.

2. What StayProof does
StayProof helps users create property inspection reports using:
- properties
- inspection templates
- checklists
- notes
- photos
- photo captions
- generated PDF reports
- report sharing tools
StayProof is intended for practical property documentation, including cleaning checks, guest turnover checks, damage checks, move-in inspections, move-out inspections, and maintenance inspections.
StayProof does not provide legal advice, property management advice, insurance advice, surveying advice, valuation advice, or professional inspection certification.
You are responsible for deciding whether StayProof is suitable for your specific situation.
3. Local-first app
StayProof is a local-first app.
In version 1, StayProof does not require:
- an account
- login
- cloud sync
- a StayProof backend account
- a web dashboard
Your app data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to share or export it.
You are responsible for saving, exporting, sharing, backing up, and protecting any reports or data that are important to you.
If you uninstall the app, clear app storage, lose your device, damage your device, or delete local data, your locally stored StayProof content may be lost.
4. Your content
You are responsible for all content you create, enter, upload, attach, or generate using StayProof.
This may include:
- property names
- addresses or location descriptions
- owner or client names
- notes
- checklist statuses
- custom checklist text
- photo captions
- photos
- generated PDF reports
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use, store, generate, and share any content you add to StayProof.
You should avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in inspection notes, captions, property details, or PDF reports.
You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and appropriateness of your content.
5. Photos and property evidence
StayProof allows you to attach photos as inspection evidence.
You are responsible for making sure that:
- you have the right to take or use the photos
- the photos do not unlawfully invade anyone’s privacy
- the photos do not contain unnecessary sensitive personal information
- the photos are appropriate to include in a property report
- you have permission to share the photos with the intended recipient
StayProof does not verify whether photos are accurate, complete, or legally sufficient.
6. Generated reports
StayProof generates PDF reports based on the information you enter into the app.
Before relying on or sharing any report, you are responsible for checking that the report is accurate, complete, and appropriate.
StayProof does not guarantee that a report will:
- prove liability
- resolve a dispute
- satisfy a legal requirement
- satisfy a lease, tenancy, or contract requirement
- satisfy an insurance requirement
- satisfy a court, tribunal, landlord, tenant, agent, cleaner, guest, or third-party requirement
- be accepted by any third party
Reports are created for practical record-keeping and communication. They are not a substitute for professional advice.
7. Sharing reports
StayProof may let you share reports using your device’s native sharing options.
When you share a report through another app or service, such as email, messaging, file storage, cloud storage, or another sharing destination, that app or service is responsible for how the shared copy is handled.
You are responsible for choosing the correct recipient and checking the report before sending it.
StayProof is not responsible for messages, files, or reports after you choose to share or export them through a third-party app or service.
8. Free and Pro features
StayProof may offer Free and Pro features.
The Free plan may include limits, such as:
- a limited number of properties
- a limited number of completed reports per month
- a StayProof Free watermark or badge on generated PDF reports
The Pro plan may include benefits such as:
- more properties
- unlimited completed reports
- no Free watermark on generated PDF reports
- access to all built-in templates
The exact features, limits, and pricing may change over time. If changes are made, they will apply according to applicable law and app store rules.
9. Subscriptions
StayProof may offer optional paid subscriptions.
Subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing are handled by Google Play or the relevant app store.
StayProof may use RevenueCat to help manage subscription entitlements and determine whether Pro features should be available.
Subscription terms may include:
- a monthly subscription
- an annual subscription
- automatic renewal unless cancelled
- pricing shown before purchase
- management through your app store account
- cancellation through Google Play or the relevant app store
You are responsible for managing your subscription through the app store account used to purchase it.
If a subscription expires, is cancelled, refunded, cannot be verified, or is otherwise not active, Pro features may become unavailable.
Refunds are handled by Google Play or the relevant app store according to their policies.
10. Restore purchases
StayProof may provide a restore purchases option when real store subscription flows are implemented.
Restore purchases is intended to help recover active subscription access where supported by the relevant app store.
Restore purchases may not restore access if:
- the subscription is expired
- the subscription was purchased with a different app store account
- the subscription was refunded
- the store cannot verify the purchase
- the app cannot access the required store or subscription information
11. Prices, taxes, and availability
Subscription prices may vary by country, currency, taxes, app store settings, promotions, or regional pricing.
The price shown by Google Play or the relevant app store at the time of purchase is the price that applies to your purchase.
Some features or subscription options may not be available in all countries, on all devices, or at all times.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse StayProof.
You must not:
- use StayProof for unlawful purposes
- create false, misleading, or fraudulent reports
- add content that you do not have the right to use
- add content that violates another person’s privacy or rights
- use the app to harass, threaten, defame, or harm others
- attempt to interfere with the app, app store systems, RevenueCat systems, or subscription verification
- attempt to bypass Free plan limits or subscription controls
- reverse engineer, modify, tamper with, or disrupt the app except where allowed by law
- use StayProof in a way that damages the app, users, service providers, or third parties
13. Professional and legal responsibility
StayProof is a tool for creating property inspection records.
You are responsible for:
- carrying out inspections appropriately
- checking applicable laws and contracts
- getting professional advice where needed
- checking report accuracy before using or sharing it
- deciding whether a report is sufficient for your needs
- complying with privacy, property, tenancy, consumer, employment, and other relevant rules that may apply to your situation
StayProof does not make decisions for landlords, tenants, guests, cleaners, property managers, insurers, courts, agents, or any other third parties.
14. No emergency or safety-critical use
StayProof is not designed for emergency, safety-critical, engineering, structural, fire-safety, electrical, gas, medical, or regulated inspection use.
Do not rely on StayProof as your only method for identifying hazards, legal compliance issues, structural defects, or urgent safety problems.
If you identify a serious hazard or urgent issue, take appropriate action and contact a qualified professional or relevant authority where needed.
15. Third-party services
StayProof may rely on third-party services for app distribution, subscriptions, payments, device permissions, file sharing, product analytics, legal-page hosting, or support.
These may include:
- Google Play
- RevenueCat
- PostHog
- GitHub Pages
- device operating system services
- email apps
- messaging apps
- cloud storage apps
- file manager apps
- support tools, if you contact us
PostHog may be used for limited anonymous product analytics, as explained in the Privacy Policy. StayProof does not use analytics for session replay, automatic screen recording, advertising tracking, or collecting inspection content.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
StayProof is not responsible for third-party services.
16. Privacy
Your use of StayProof is also governed by the StayProof Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how StayProof handles information, including local app data, photos, reports, subscriptions, anonymous product analytics, support information, and third-party service providers.
You should read the Privacy Policy before using the app.
17. Intellectual property
StayProof, including its name, branding, design, software, templates, user interface, and generated report layout, is owned by or licensed to its provider.
You may use StayProof only as allowed by these Terms and by the app store terms that apply to your download.
You must not copy, resell, sublicense, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from StayProof except where allowed by law or with written permission.
You keep ownership of the content you create using StayProof, such as your property information, photos, notes, captions, and reports.
18. App updates and changes
We may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of StayProof over time.
Updates may add, change, or remove features.
Some updates may be required for compatibility, security, subscription verification, or app store requirements.
We are not required to continue supporting every old version of the app.
19. Availability
We aim to make StayProof reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with every device or operating system version.
Some features may depend on:
- your device
- your operating system
- app permissions
- local storage availability
- Google Play services
- RevenueCat subscription services
- internet connectivity
- third-party sharing apps
20. Data loss and backups
StayProof stores most app data locally on your device.
You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for exporting or backing up reports that are important to you.
StayProof is not responsible for local data loss caused by:
- uninstalling the app
- clearing app storage
- device loss or damage
- operating system issues
- storage corruption
- user deletion
- failed backups
- third-party app behaviour
- unsupported device changes
21. Support
We may provide support by email or other channels we choose.
Support availability is not guaranteed and may vary.
When contacting support, you are responsible for not sending unnecessary sensitive personal information.
22. Termination
You may stop using StayProof at any time.
We may suspend or restrict access to parts of the app where reasonably necessary, including if:
- you breach these Terms
- you misuse the app
- required by law
- required by app store rules
- needed to protect users, the app, service providers, or third parties
If your access ends, provisions that by their nature should continue will continue, including sections about your responsibilities, disclaimers, limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law.
23. Disclaimer of warranties
StayProof is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, representations, and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, non-infringement, and satisfactory quality.
Nothing in these Terms affects legal rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
24. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StayProof and its provider will not be liable for:
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages
- loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, reputation, or anticipated savings
- loss of data, content, photos, reports, or files
- disputes between landlords, tenants, guests, cleaners, owners, managers, agents, clients, or other third parties
- decisions made based on reports generated using the app
- failure of a third party to accept, rely on, or act on a report
- third-party app, store, payment, sharing, or subscription service issues
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any total liability arising from or relating to StayProof will be limited to the amount you paid for StayProof in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
25. Indemnity
If you use StayProof for business or professional purposes, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless StayProof and its provider from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:
- your misuse of the app
- your content
- your reports
- your breach of these Terms
- your violation of law
- your violation of third-party rights
- disputes relating to property inspections or reports you create or share
This indemnity applies to the maximum extent permitted by law.
26. Consumer rights
If you use StayProof as a consumer, you may have rights under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove those rights.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory consumer protection law, the mandatory law will apply.
27. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
Your continued use of StayProof after updated Terms are published means you accept the updated Terms, unless applicable law requires a different process.
28. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
Courts in England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.
